Title: Is The Holiday Season The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year?
Date: November 21, 2010
Time: 8:00 PST 10:00 CST 11:00 EST

Organization DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance)

Website: http://www.dbsalliance.org

Bio: Michelle Routhieaux is the Director of Programs DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance) in, San Diego, CA. She will tell us more about their programs and how they may be able to help with depression. DBSA programs are a peer-facilitated support group of people who support one another on their road to wellness. They include those diagnosed with mood disorders, their families and friends, and anyone else who seeks to learn more about depressive and bipolar mood (affective) disorders.

Is The Holiday Season The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year? Not for many, in fact studies show that depression is more prevalent during the holiday season, this is the time that we tend to miss our beloved ones who have passed on, or have left our lives.

Depression can strike at anytime and to anyone. Too many times, we have heard someone from the pulpit stating that depression is of the devil and although there is some validity to this, let's be real, depression is a disease which cannot be prayed away. Suicide rate among Christians is increasing, but there is help.

You are NOT alone. Don't wait another moment, if you or someone you love is experiencing depression, get help now!!!

DBSA San Diego emphasizes education in all areas that relate to bipolar and depressive illnesses, including the identification of community resources available to help those affected by these disorders.

Featured Music Artist

For Angela Bryant-Brown, praise and worship is more than a style of music. It is what she does in response to God's presence in her life. Her desire is that the music she shares will move others to recognize the awesomeness of God and praise Him in their own lives.

Her passion for worship has led her to become a vibrant praise leader and prolific songwriter. Her original songs, such as "Give God the Praise" and "If We Obey," have ushered many congregations into the presence of God and will do the same for listeners of her debut CD, From You.
